Peter White, Rick Braun, and Mindi Abair Return for a Repeat Holiday Performance!
Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 6:00 and 8:30 pm
STUART, FL- A Peter White Christmas comes to the historic Lyric Theatre December 13th. Tickets are $42/$38.
It just wouldn’t be the holiday season without a visit from jazz stalwarts Peter White, Rick Braun and Mindi Abair. They’ve been playing seasonal shows together for half a decade, selling out theaters everywhere they’ve gone, and are now bringing their holiday cheer to the Lyric Theatre stage.
Born in Letchworth Garden City, England, Peter White rose to fame as the guitarist behind legendary singer/songwriter Al Stewart (“Year of the Cat,” “Time Passages”). As the years went on, he launched a career of his own, writing and recording with such luminaries as Basia, Grover Washington Jr., Dave Koz, Bob James, Gato Barbieri and Craig Chaquico.
As for the rest of the talented entourage, trumpeter Rick Braun topped the contemporary jazz charts for an astonishing 13 weeks with his 1995 release “Beat Street”.
Mindi Abair, daughter of a legendary local musician and graduate of the prestigious Berklee School of Music, is the junior member of the trio. This young saxophonist has paid her road-dues backing up the Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore, John Tesh, Adam Sandler and others.
You can’t afford to miss out on these three big names coming together for one great night! So come to the Lyric Theatre and enjoy a Christmas Season extravaganza!
The Lyric Theatre is a historic, 500-seat venue that hosts a year-round slate of entertainment including concerts, theatrical productions and children’s programs.
