High Flying Seduction
The Lyric Theatre, this March, will present Kevin Black’s Cirquesco. Featuring components of various international dance styles such as the Argentinian tango and the French burlesque, Cirquesco explores the art of choreography in combination with established European circus techniques. Choreographer and artistic director Kevin Black has an extensive history in dance and theater, having developed countless theatrical productions for major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Recently, Kevin Black directed Spamalot, Tommy, and The Rocky Horror Show at The Crest Theatre in Delray Beach. In addition to directing, Black is also the Artistic Director for the Career in the Arts School of Talent in Cooper City, Florida. In his latest production, Black incorporates state-of-the-art lighting and costuming into Cirquesco, which features a cast of professionally-trained dancers and acrobats including singer and Miami native Mimi J and singer and dancer Kasey J. Hughes. Cirquesco comes to The Lyric Theatre on March 11th at 7:00pm. Tickets are available online at LyricTheatre.com or through The Lyric Box Office at (772) 286-7827.

Lyric Favorite Returns for a Night of 60s Classics
After a very popular appearance at The Lyric Theatre last season, Earl Turner’s Box of 45s returns for another performance this March. A member of the New Orleans Music Hall of Fame, Earl Turner performs R&B classics from artists including the O’Jays and the Temptations. Turner initially worked as a back-up musician, touring with show bands across the country. By the 1980s, Earl Turner had established a name for himself as a solo recording artist with the release of his top 40 dance hit “Love Caught You by Surprise.” Turner has performed in dozens of major hotel casinos, including Caesars Palace, The Paris Hotel and Casino, and The Hilton Atlantic City. As a celebration of his contribution to the entertainment industry, Harrah’s New Orleans renamed the former Mansion Ballroom, “The Earl Turner Theatre.” In his performance at The Lyric this March, Earl Turner will perform major hits including “Unchained Melody” and “My Girl.” Earl Turner’s Box of 45s will perform at The Lyric Theatre on March 16th at 7:00pm.
