Check out these Clowns

Prepare to see some of the world’s finest circus artistry, from clown performances to daredevil flying stunts. The Lyric Theatre welcomes the award-winning Pants Down Circus “Rock” - an evening designed for the whole family! Pants Down Circus is a creative, vibrant and highly skilled ensemble working together to produce new, exciting and spectacular work without taking itself too seriously. Formed in 2011, the Pants Down Circus stars acrobat Joshua Phillips, strong woman Hannah Cryle, clown Idris Stanton, and aerialist Caz Walsh. Phillips and Stanton have toured extensively with their self-designed, international show The Circus Fireman, and Cryle and Walsh have performed with their act The Trick Ponies as well as an acclaimed swinging trapeze act for the Crece Project in Spain. The Pants Down Circus won Best Circus Award at the 2012 Melbourne Fringe festival. Pants Down Circus “Rock” will perform at the Lyric Theatre on April 2 at 5:00pm. Tickets are available online at LyricTheatre.com or through The Lyric Box Office at (772) 286-7827. Proudly sponsored by the Bauman Family Foundation.

Soulful Vocals are Singing the Blues

The award-winning, hard-touring, guitar slinger Ana Popovic blends smoking electric funk and slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and a tight blues groove with soulful, feminine vocals. Nominated for six Blues Music Awards, Popovic is taking the American music scene by storm. Born in Belgrade, acclaimed Memphis-via-Serbia guitarist, Ana Popovic, started playing the guitar at the age of 15, encouraged by her father to play the blues. In 1995, Ana formed the R&B group Hush. She left to study jazz guitar in the Netherlands, and in 1999 formed the Ana Popovic Band. By 2009, Popovic had released the albums Still Making History and Blind for Love which both reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Blues chart. In May 2016 Ana released Trilogy, a total of twenty-three blues, jazz, and funk tunes on three CDs with guest appearances from Joe Bonamassa, Robert Randolph, and rapper Al Capone. In 2014 to 2016, Ana was the only female guitar player in the all star Experience Hendrix lineup, a nationwide tour celebrating the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix. Ana Popovic will perform on April 6 at 7:00pm. Tickets are available online at LyricTheatre.com or through The Lyric Box Office at (772) 286-7827.
