Steve Solomon "Standup"

Saturday, November 16, 2013

America’s favorite dysfunctional comedian is back again. Creator and star of three-time award-winning Broadway comedy “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish, and I’m in Therapy”, Steve Solomon returns with even more side-splitting, raucous jokes this December, introducing new material and incorporating stories from his other hit shows, such as “STILL in Therapy” and “Home for the Holidays.”

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Steve Solomon grew up in the ethnically diverse neighborhood of Sheepshead Bay. Drawing from his personal experiences growing up in the Big Apple as well as his experience in the entertainment industry, Steve is the king of one-man shows. Over the last four years alone, Steve Solomon has had audience rolling in the aisles in over 75 cities and 3 countries, bringing his neurotic brand of humor to theaters all over the world. Renowned for imitating voices with an uncanny ability and incorporating wild and wacky sound effects, Steve recounts tales from his past with hilarious insights and a splash of self-deprecation.

Whether you know Steve Solomon’s stand-up or this is your first time, no performance is the same with Steve Solomon. Selling out audiences from San Francisco to Atlantic City, Steve has also taken Broadway by storm, starring in one of the longest running one-man shows in the institution’s history. Now, Steve returns to The Lyric Theatre, bringing a little bit of Broadway, and insanity, back with him.
