A Dance for Everyone

National Dance Week Celebration 2011, A Dance for Everyone, is a mixed bill performed by local and professional dance companies who will come together to benefit VSAFL(www.vsa.org), VSAFL is a member of the international network of VSA and an affiliate of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Their mission is to create a society in which people with disabilities can learn through, participate in and enjoy the arts. VSAFL provides educators, parents, and artists with resources and the tools to support arts programming in schools and communities. VSA affiliate and internationally acclaimed Karen Peterson and Dancers, Miami's mixed ability repertory company that embraces differences will be special guests. This event also sponsors a performance collaboration, highlighting a VSAFL/Project 10 visual artist using the online tool Splash from ArtThread (www.artthread.org) alongside professional contemporary dance company Anna Preston & Dancers, underscored by musical group Zen Fuse Box and costumed by clothing designer Elissa Zeltzer of From My Hands to Yours.
