McCartney Mania & The Academy Orchestra Presents

A Tribute to the Music of The Beatles

In a sequel to last year’s sell-out concert, South Florida’s popular Beatles tribute band, MCCARTNEY MANIA, and the Academy Orchestra come together again for their symphonic/rock extravaganza dedicated to the music and legacy of the Beatles. This highly popular show includes many great hits like Penny Lane, She’s Leaving Home, I Am The Walrus, Here, There, Everywhere, A Day In A Life, Drive My Car, When I’m Sixty-Four and even post Beatles McCartney favorites like Live And Let Die. Arrangements and orchestration for this collaboration are by Thomas Servinsky, the Academy Orchestra’s very creative conductor.

McCartney Mania is a live tribute band dedicated to the music and legacy of Sir Paul McCartney. The group has toured concert and festival venues throughout south Florida. Their act honors a sample of the vast catalog of works of perhaps the world’s greatest contemporary composer. From the humble beginnings of the Quarrymen in Liverpool to the whirlwind of Beatlemania, to Wings, full orchestral works, and a continuing energetic solo career, Sir Paul McCartney has reigned as a dominant force in popular music for over 50 years. The McCartney Mania Band showcases some of Paul’s greatest hits from his different groups. The band strives to recreate the unique sensation that his music brings when played live on-stage.

McCartney Mania band members include Jack Maravell, a seasoned performer who has toured the country portraying Paul in the national act “The Best Of Beatlemania,” Jimmy Autin, keyboards, synthesizer and vocals, Jack Chiarelli, lead guitar and vocals, Dean Lopes, drums, percussion and vocals, and Scott Benge, acoustic and lead guitar and vocals.

The Academy Orchestra is a mentoring orchestra of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony made up of professional musicians from south Florida and area’s finest young musicians selected from the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony. The orchestra came together in 2010 under the direction of Thomas Servinsky to record Angelo Casto E Bel, a collection of opera arias sung by renown tenor, Gabriel Silva. The CD recording was considered in the first round nominations for a number of categories by the Grammy Awards committee. The orchestra’s performances on the Treasure Coast since then include a live performance at the Lyric with Gabriel Silva, several holiday concerts featuring Mannheim Steamroller music, a performance with pianist Francesco Attesti, a New Year’s Strauss waltz concert, and last year’s highly successful concert with McCartney Mania.
