Rachel McGoye
Singer/songwriter Rachel McGoye’s debut extended play recording “What Day Is It?” attracted the attention of 10spot Records, and in 2007 she released her first full-length album, “Beautiful Disaster.” That same year, McGoye opened for Kellie Pickler at the Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival, and was chosen as a main stage artist for the NACA Regional West Conference, where she showcased for hundreds of colleges. She has spent much of 2008 on the road, playing shows from Los Angeles to Florida, promoting her album and honing her craft.
Born in Stuart, McGoye sang with Martin County High School’s renowned choral group, OPUS, and trained with opera great Rita Vallis. Of her performance at the Lyric, McGoye says, “It’s like coming full circle to do a show here.”
