This performance also includes Brahms’ Variations on a Theme Written by Haydn (even though recent scholarship has indicated the theme was not actually written by Haydn but possibly by one of his students), and Mozart’s cherished “Prague” Symphony.

Kibbey makes her South Florida debut performing Saint-Saëns’ Morceau de Concert and Grandjany’s Aria in Classic Style for Harp and Strings. Both pieces are splendidly beautiful, performed by a stunningly accomplished harpist. Lauded for her “blazing prowess and finesse,” her 2007 album Love is Come Again was named by Time Out New York as one of the top 10 recordings for 2007.
