The Lyric Theatre Presents

Dogs Gone Wild with Todd Oliver at The Borland Center

The Lyric will officially go to the dogs when Todd Oliver and his brood of talking mutts come to town.  Oliver’s one-of-a-kind style, which mixes comedy and ventriloquism, features a cast of lively characters, including a trio of live talking dogs (yes, that’s live dogs!), Irving, Lucy and Elvis.  Also part of the Oliver entertainment “family” are Pops, a crazy confused old timer, Miss Lilly, his lifelong love, and Joey, the endearing bad boy.

The Oliver dogs are actually pampered family pets that heartily enjoy their time in the limelight.  In fact, Irving has been taking the stage for 13 years!  (So how does he talk?  Irving isn’t telling.)

Oliver, one of Branson, Missouri’s most popular entertainers, headlines aboard the Showboat Branson Belle and at theaters and comedy clubs across the country.  He has appeared on such television shows as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Howie Mandel Show,” “The Oak Ridge Boys’ Live in Las Vegas” and Penn & Teller’s Vegas special “Sin City Sensation.”

Oliver’s family-friendly show includes plenty of audience participation, with situational, contemporary humor that appeals to all ages and backgrounds.  “Dogs Gone Wild” will have you howling for more!
