The Nutcracker

Generations of audiences have enjoyed this perennial Christmas favorite, a charming tale of holiday adventure that follows a little girl's journey through a fantasy world of fairies, princes, toy soldiers, and an army of mice. Florida Arts & Dance Company students combined with professional dancers recreate Tchaikovsky's most beloved tale including "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" and "Waltz of flowers."

This two-act ballet had its premiere at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, on December 17, 1892. You can see this fantastic tale reinterpreted by Artistic Director, Loretta Miller.
