Xiayin Wang

In the decade since she arrived in the United States from her native China, classical pianist Xiayin Wang has proven to be a rising star of significant note.  Wang, who has been hailed as “a paragon of virtuosity” by The Washington Post, has performed to universal acclaim throughout China, Europe and the United States in such renowned venues as Shanghai Concert Hall, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. 

The All Music Guide notes that Wang’s concerts demonstrate “. . . a breadth of repertoire, sensitivity of touch, and a beautiful overall sound.”  We are pleased to present, for a return performance on the Lyric stage, this rising classical music star of international caliber.
