The ACO is starting off the 2011 Season with a program that can only be described as “quintessentially ACO!” Elgar’s ravishingly beautiful Introduction & Allegro highlights a program of all-British music. From Purcell’s Baroque suite of incidential music to the play Abdelazar to E.J. Moeran’s little known 20th Centruy masterpiece that is reminiscent of Vaughn Williams in its use of folk songs, this is a concert that you won’t want to miss!
