By the Sea, By the Sea

The Indian River POPS Orchestra kicks off their Lyric Theatre three concert series with an exciting program celebrating our life near the sea. “Sea Songs” by Vaughn Williams, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific, thrilling swashbuckling highlights from the Errol Flynn film “Seahawk” by Korngold and “Pirates of the Caribbean” by Hans Zimmer are just some of the selections. Featured musical guests include the popular Irish Band Rowdy Mix singing Irish sea songs, and a 2,500 pound vocalist performing on Alan Hovhaness’ “And God Created Great Whales”.
