Treasure Coast Youth Symphony Presents

Magic & Make Believe

Is the pretend and make-believe world of childhood merely capricious dream and illusion? Or is it a vision of the power of imagination and invention?

Certainly the creative genius of the composers behind the pieces in this concert is not fiction. From Howard Shore’s Two Towers from the Lord of the Rings, Dvorak’s Noonday Witch, Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, Prokofiev’s Lt. Kije, and the Berceuse and Finale of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, these familiar and very real pieces continue to enchant, captivate and inspire people everywhere.

This concert also features a performance by the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony’s 2016 Concerto Competition Winner, violinist Brook Gunter.

Educating to preserve, create, and celebrate our musical heritage, the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony continues to serve our community as one of its finest musical arts organizations for young musicians and orchestra audiences since 1987.
