Joshua Bell

For over two decades, GRAMMY Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell has been captivating audiences worldwide with his poetic musicality.  Bell’s bold, charismatic artistry has brought a fresh voice to the most venerable masterpieces, while also uncovering lesser known gems and new works.  His “Romance of the Violin” CD was named “Classical Album of the Year” in 2004 by Billboard magazine, with Bell named “Classical Artist of the Year.” 

Bell is equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra leader.  A rare cross-over classical artist, he has collaborated with such diverse artists as Pamela Frank, Steven Isserlis, Josh Groban and James Taylor.  Bell has received the Avery Fisher Prize and was the only U.S. musician named by the World Economic Forum as one of the 250 Young Global Leaders.  He also serves on the artist committee of the Kennedy Center Honors.
