WaistWatchers The Musical
Now here’s the thing. Very few women, and we don’t know any, are happy with their bodies. As they get older, they get more dissatisfied as it feels like everything is heading south. There are the diets, the fasting, and the asking the husband if the dress makes you look fat. Finally, there is the gym, that place where women go to find their- well, whatever isn’t where it used to be.
WaistWatchers The Musical is a hilarious, high-energy comedy about food, friendship, and the journey to a positive self-image. Three out of four isn’t too bad.
Set in Cooks Women’s Gym, four friends have different reasons for signing up. Carla is hitting the gym so she can sip Pinot Grigio, eat more chocolate and not skip dessert. Cheryl wants to relieve stress from work and stay looking good. Connie is a first-timer who wants to feel sexy again and Cindy, who is recently divorced, is ready for a challenge, now that she’s single and ready to mingle.
Dani Tucci-Juraga is the choreographer for the show and she said that it is for all women of all ages. “WaistWatchers The Musical is about strong, sensitive, passionate and evolving women who function best with good friends and humor by their sides. As choreographer, getting to work with the cast is much like the plot. We are there to support each other and above all, laugh.”
This is a show that has so many laughs you’ll forget that there is a gentle message that says that we’re all beautiful and that self-confidence itself makes a woman beautiful. So grab your BFF and every other woman you can find and come to see a show that will have you dancing and laughing so hard that you actually burn calories. I don’t know if that’s really true, but you’ll have so much fun that you won’t care.
What have you got to lose?
