The Lyric Theatre Presents

Celtic Crossroads

Touted as “the most exhilarating and authentic show to come from Ireland in decades,” Celtic Crossroads is a whirlwind adventure featuring some of the best in traditional and fusion Irish music. Seven world-class musicians play over 20 instruments on stage, including the uilleann pipes, mandolin, accordion, and more. The classically trained artists bring a youthful energy to their toe-tapping rhythms backed by some of the best high-kickers in the world.

Celtic Crossroads’ name is buried deep in traditional Irish folklore and history. The title originates from the time in Ireland when communities would meet at crossroads between towns and villages to socialize together, long before the popularity of the pub tradition. The name refers to the group’s dedication to their unique mixture of traditional Celtic music and other world music from across the globe as well. Celtic Crossroads’ exciting modernization of classic Irish traditions has been very well received, featured most recently in a nationally broadcasted PBS special.

The septet has brought their Celtic flair around the world, performing in some of the most prestigious venues out there, from Ireland to Japan. Celtic Crossroads is comprised of some of the youngest and freshest musicians, including co-founder Michael McClintock, who is widely regarded as one of the fastest fiddle players in the world. Their inspired amalgamation of eastern European gypsy music, north American bluegrass, Classical, Jazz, and their native Irish folk songs have brought international audiences to their feet. This March, the Lyric Theatre is proud to present the high-energy show that has blown all other Irish music presentations out of the water.

Thank you for supporting The Lyric Theatre, see you at the show!
