The Lyric Theatre Wins 2015 Choice Award

The Treasure Coast Newspapers announced that The Lyric Theatre is the Martin County 2015 Treasure Coast Choice Award winner in the Performing Arts Venue category. More than 55,000 reader votes were cast on tcpalm.com and the winners were announced June 10, 2015.

“We are delighted to receive the Choice Award for best Performing Arts Venue again this year. It is an incredible honor to be recognized by the Martin County readers, and we would like to thank those who voted for us,” said Kia Fontaine, Executive Director.

The Lyric Theatre, almost 90 years old, had a major facelift last year and while there are still finishing touches being completed, the theatre had one of its most successful seasons last year. This year promises to surpass last season.

Favorites like Darlene Love, A Peter White Christmas, Arlo Guthrie, Capitol Steps, Stayin’ Alive, The Doo Wop Project and Tito Puente, Jr. will be back. These favorites and many others will be joined by Kathleen Madigan, Tom Wopat & John Schneider The Return of the Dukes Christmas, Jeffrey Tambor, Tony Orlando, The Hot Sardines, Joshua Bell, Jessica Fellowes “The Chronicles of Downton Abbey” and Fiesta Mexico-Americana with Los Lobos.
