The Lyric Theatre Presents
Todd Oliver: Dogs Gone Wild Tour
Have you ever met a talking dog? A real talking dog, that is?
If not, you’ll want to make plans to head to the Lyric for “Dogs Gone Wild,” when comedian/ventriloquist Todd Oliver brings his three talking dogs to town. When the dogs get behind the microphone, they turn their everyday canine experiences into knockout comedy.
Boston Terrier Irving is the ringleader, singing songs and trading witty insults with Oliver. Lucy, a West Highland mix, is the only dog in the world to out-talk Irving! Last but not least is Elvis the Basset Hound, whose body is so long that when he goes through a revolving door, he has to make two trips.
Todd will also be joined by special guest, the Smiling Eyes Band.
Oliver is one of Branson, Missouri’s most popular entertainers, and has headlined on the Showboat Branson Belle for over 14 years. He – and his dogs! – received Best Variety Performance and Best Dinner Show honors at the Branson All American Entertainment Awards. Oliver also performs at venues throughout the country, and has appeared on such television shows as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
“Dogs Gone Wild” is ideal for the entire family, with G-rated humor and plenty of audience participation. And speaking of family, in case you were wondering: The Oliver dogs are actually Todd’s happy, healthy and pampered family house pets.
This all goes to prove than when you’re Todd Oliver, it’s a dog’s life. And when you’re Todd Oliver’s dogs, it’s a good life, indeed.
