Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre Presents

BRIFT Fall Showcase

A Treat for the Season

Mega star, Burt Reynolds returns to the Lyric Stage with the BRIFT Fall Showcase. Twelve carefully chosen scenes from well-known plays directed by Mr. Reynolds and performed by his Master Class actors will highlight an evening of live theater. Master Class actors are professionals, who have honed their acting skills under Mr. Reynolds’ expert tutelage.

This year’s Showcase selections will feature a mix of some well-known comedies and dramas, as well as original works written by BRIFT students and teachers. Among the original works being presented will be Steve Daron’s “The Method, To Be or Not, “Unscripted” by James Wood and “Reflections from a Fox Hole” by Frank Eberling. Daron and Wood are both students in Burt Reynolds’ Master Class, while Eberling is a well-known writer/producer/director, who teaches film classes at The Institute.
Ticket holders can expect to share an enjoyable two and a half hours at this Burt Reynolds directed Showcase and to go home having experienced a wide range of emotions from joy to sorrow to fear and back to joy… proving once again that an evening with Burt Reynolds is an evening not to be forgotten.

The mission of the Burt Reynolds Institute is to enhance enjoyment of the arts and to further a deeper understanding and appreciation of all aspects of film, television and theater. This goal is realized through live performance, educational and instructional opportunities, and discussions of literary legacies and biographical documentaries. The Institute is also dedicated to preserving Mr. Reynolds’ vast collection of Hollywood and sports memorabilia and the history of the film industry.

Admission is $25.00.
