“Freiburg is a stunningly talented pianist…gliding across and assaulting the keys as though they owe him money. It is the most high-energy show I have ever seen.” That was the Oregon Times commenting on the whirlwind that is Jared Freiburg. It was that energy that had him playing Jerry Lee Lewis in the show Million Dollar Quartet for Norwegian Cruise Lines. The singer, pianist, and producer was born In Iowa and learned to play the piano when he was five. He fell in love with the music of an earlier generation, listening to the music of the ‘50s and ‘60s by way of his parents and grandparents. He appeared in choral, musical, and theatrical ensembles in high school, and in 2015 at 17, he was selected as one of four young men in the country to represent the Grammy Foundation in a vocal jazz ensemble. The ensemble performed at the 2015 Grammy Awards.

After high school, Freiburg attended the Bob Cole Conservatory in Long Beach, California, where he studied jazz performance before leaving to begin his professional career in 2016, playing Jerry Lee Lewis. In 2019, he debuted Jared Freiburg and The Vagabonds, which blended his experience as a rock ‘n roll pianist with other passions, including jazz, the blues and country music.

The resulting stage show takes the audience back to the era of rock ‘n roll that began in the 1950s. The trio of performers celebrates the history and iconic sounds of legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles and more. Former members of Million Dollar Quartet, these three keep you thoroughly entertained and full of the feel-good vibrations that make the music of this era so beloved. The group travels the United States and is a favorite on the cruise ship circuit.

Audiences love what Jared and his group bring to the stage. They have appeared several times at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton, California. “Jared’s high-energy performances are filled with joy and excitement as he journeys through the golden age of American music with an electric lineup of favorite rock ‘n’ roll, blues, country and jazz hits from the 1950s — serving up a healthy helping of memorable tunes by artists ranging from Chuck Berry to Sinatra to Jerry Lee Lewis, and more.”

There’ll be a whole lotta shakin’ goin' on.
