The Lyric Theatre Presents

Jonatha Brooke and Glen Phillips

Get ready for an evening of acoustic delight when Jonatha Brooke and Glen Phillips take the stage.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Brooke introduced her unique blend of folk and pop in the early 1990s as a member of the female duo named The Story.  She has been called a “down to earth poet,” and is renowned for her compositions’ poignant lyrics and lush harmonies.  Her latest CD, “The Works,” pairs her original music with previously unheard lyrics taken from Woody Guthrie’s journals.

Glen Phillips served as frontman and main songwriter for Toad the Wet Sprocket, creating hits that include “All I Want,” “Walk on the Ocean” and “Fall Down.”  He launched his solo career in 2001, and has released three studio CDs:  “Abulum,” “Winter Pays for Summer” and “Mr.Lemons.”  He has also collaborated with a number of artists, including the bluegrass band Nickel Creek.
